Our Mission

At Wandering Past Limits, we believe that nature has the power to enhance overall well-being, promote healing, and inspire personal growth. Our mission is to empower individuals to step beyond their limits—physically, mentally, and emotionally—by embracing the outdoors as a pathway to wellness.

Through educational resources, personal stories, practical guidance, and travel tips, we aim to highlight the transformative benefits of outdoor exploration for mental clarity, physical health, and emotional balance. Whether you're hiking, camping, or simply connecting with nature, our goal is to inspire individuals and families to embark on journeys that nurture both body and mind.

We also provide homeschooling guidance to help families incorporate the natural world into their educational journeys. With a focus on outdoor learning, roadschooling, and worldschooling, we offer tools to blend travel, adventure, and education for a holistic, enriching experience.

At Wandering Past Limits, we are dedicated to building a supportive community that fosters peace, strength, and fulfillment in the natural world, while encouraging individuals to find balance and growth through travel, exploration, and nature-based learning.

Our Story

Our family's journey has been anything but conventional. As a neurodivergent family, we struggled to fit a one-size-fits-all society. Our son's challenges with ADHD and DMDD, combined with the rigid structure of traditional schooling, led us to make a life-changing decision - we took our kids out of school to homeschool and embrace a lifestyle of travel. As a registered nurse (BSN), I've seen the powerful connection between mental health and the outdoors but experiencing it firsthand has been transformative. Travel and nature have helped our family find balance, resilience, and joy in ways we never imagined. Through Wandering Past Limits, we hope to share these benefits with others, provide resources, and create a supportive community where families and individuals can connect, share their stories, and discover the healing power of exploration.
